It is important to note Dirk is NOT the one speaking in this memory! He is actually reading the log after stepping out of the shower.
Jake IMs Dirk to ask him about sendificating him some uranium and the Auto Responder replies, because Dirk's in the shower. Jake does not realize this at first but after the AR fucks with him some he calls the AR out and Ar ironically pretends to fail the Turing test to piss Jake off.
Actually there's not a lot of information in this memory! Mostly it is just a good guage of how the AR and Jake interact, and how pissed Jake gets at his splinters. Also what a fucking troll the AI is. The AR definitely has some kind of interest in him and Jake's relationship, but Dirk can 't tell if it's malign or benign.

The Auto Responder IMs Dirk to chastise him for zoning out! He talks about Dirk's habit of getting kind of out of it when he is splitting his awareness between his dreamself and his actual body, and then trolls Dirk some about other shit. They move onto to talking about the game because Roxy just blew up Jane's computer, and Dirk accuses the AJ of trying to sabotage his plans, which the AR firmly denies. They move onto to talking about the AR flirting with Roxy, and then from there Jake. The AR details a couple (accurate) summaries for how Dirk is going to handle the Jake thing (the thing being a crush on Jake) and once again Dirk pronounces that he is mistrustful of the AR.
While Dirk os talking to AR, he is also talking to Jane. But that part of the memory will be fuzzy. The memory ends right after AR and Dirk discover pony pals has survived the blast.
- He does in fact have two conscious lives, waking and dreaming, and he can switch back and forth between them and run them in parallel. As a result he does not, in fact, sleep.
- He made the AR three years ago and it is a giant goddam troll not to be trusted.
